Another good day at the ACC CX promotion, well done Mark. After helping Joyce for a bit before the races and doing the number board/bell/chequered flag for one of the nippers races for the main one I was down on the course with my yellow hi-viz waistcoat. Tough course as ever at Penshurst which I enjoyed watching, marshalling at the CX is more of a roaming about affair at the far end of the course, just to be there in case of an accident and being needed to call up to base for help as the course is fully marked out.

Anyway heres the pictures I took, well done Sylv and George, particularly Snotty Sylv :D . Funniest moment was George trying to chase Sylv up a nasty climb and calling out to me "He's supposed to have a f*****g cold!" as he went  . I'm not sure Ian enjoyed himself so much judging by his comment when we told him he was only half way through the race.

The winner, a great ride he led from start to finish pulling out the gap on Sylv with each lap

Great photo's Mr Green (was it as cold as it looked?) and Congratulations to Sylv on his podium and all the other frozen Acc'ers.
Where did George and Ian finish?

I had half heartedly wanted to come but was persuaded to attend food tasting and a hog roast at the priory. My daughter saw the hog roasting and threw her hot dog in the bin and became a vegetrian. Then got home and had roast beef

Nice pics Andrew, thanks and to all who came to help. Great course, well done Mark and George.

I thought I could hear George shout something at you, but was too far to hear what

Looks like fun, you didn't fancy replicating muddy hell by taking the course over any of the many jumps?
Congratulations to all. :D

Great pictures, thanks for the help too.It wasn't as cold as last year, could not see many going home after they raced perhaps it was that they wanted to drink more tea & eat all the cake. Thanks to all who came out & supported the club on it's last promotion of the year.Especially to my driver for taking me down to the event & to think I used to ride out that far just for a ride. Thanks Tim.

Good Pictures Andrew, I think I will have to work a bit harder next time as I enjoyed it a bit too much. I think that to race downhill over the lumps and bumps on a cross bike is a bit of a job :?

Well done Sylv, it's good to see an ACC shirt on a CX podium again. Good photos Andrew, I'm sorry I missed it but had visitors this weekend.

Andrew

Briliant pictures thanks very much - do you want to send them to John Mullineaux [post@mullxhof.demon.co.uk] and he can put them up on the London league site

If you are getting any printed, can i pay you for a copy the first one with the tree

I'll email them to John this evening, have some others which I didn't put up here as they would be of less interest being non ACCers etc. Also realised that I took some others which didn't transfer to the computer so will look on the camera again and see if i can find them and add here if I track them down.

No problem doing a print for you Mark. I have a load of photos I need to wade through and put on a CD for Boots and will get a copy for you when I do that, cost is tiny as I tend to wait until I have a few and then the prints are only a few pence each. I get 7" x 5" is that good for you?
