[quote="Paul H"]what are the new rules?

1 was about putting in place a mechanism for removing people from the committee. Discussed as being used when people move away but don't resign (so we end up with inactive committee members - now now no jokes please). It read more like a disciplinary type thing to me.

T'other one was an amendment to a rule so as to prevent more then 10% of the club members being vice captains. This one struck me as totally unnecessary and I voted against it.

Well meaning I'm sure, and personally I believe that clubs, companies whatever should operate with the minimum rules possible so as to allow agility, and responsiveness - that kind of thing.

Cheers - Snoop

I'm not sure that is true. Some people appear to be missing from that photo - Keith Knight, the other Steve Dennis, Rob nice chap whose surname I can't remember and me. I guess we were letting the side down in some form or other....

First thing part A. Monty I salute your lifetime award, very very well deserved :D and I have always enjoyed riding out with you and the banter over coffee and cake. Please don't be a stranger.

First thing part B. Congrats to Jon our new club run captain Jon CC, your pedigree of 4 years of club runs has truley carried you to the post you have earned and deserve. very best of luck kicking butt and sorting out the rabble on Saturdays.
Lets hope you do a better job than Monty at getting people away on time  far too cold to stand around in the winter.

First thing part C and not least by far. Well done to Doug for standing to the masses and offering to boost the variety and scope of the club. Yes Doug you did get my vote, I felt my vote was for a broadening of the range of rides etc etc. Not saying that I didn't support Jon but it seems that Monty has left a legacy and backbone of our CR which will never fade, seems to be a perfect role for the VC's to start the CR.

That was my first AGM, no comment on the bla bla!!!!! but well done to Grahame and co for presenting it, very suprised on the level of red tape. Change to mid summer and i'm sure the turnout will at least double.

Thanks Marky Mark, and the red tape - well, farcical.

PS Different rides, sunday rides, different venues for the coastals - at the top of the agenda, just under coffee at the pine!

Well done on the new appointees and congrats to Monty on a Lifetime membership award.

Is there now an updated list of who does what in the club? Who is the women's co-ordinator now?

Maria

Hi Maria, Carole is still the women's co-ordinator if she wants to continue but was unavailable for the AGM so to be confirmed. Unfortunately with carring for Florie's she was unable to be around much last year.

If you see this Carole hope all is well with Florie, and how did the bumble bee run go?
