Having seen the new (and excellent - congrats Sean) digest and its pic of the day what do the ACCers think now Mr. Millar is back on a bike in his best canary outfit.
Good:
-He admitted his crime straight away when the police turned up even without ever testing positive, unlike so many others who still protested their innocence even when testing positive and having a suitcase full of needles.
-He took his punishment without a lot of moaning.
-He says he'll tell the UCI how he didn't fail a test so they can improve the testing.
-Another Brit in the Tour.
-A cyclist with a bit of colour unlike some of the "hide behind my manager and bodyguards" types.
Bad:
-He took drugs, no excuses.
-Cycling was in the mainstream press for once, but as usual only for something bad.
-His somewhat flaky personalilty means can he be trusted to do as he says, namely stay clean and spill the beans to the UCI.
I can't stand drugs in sport but he's done his time, and with a suprising level of grace, so I say give him another chance.
Any other thoughts?
