Any handy metal workers on here?

Postby Andrew G » Wed Dec 29, 2010 7:53 pm

Any handy 'smiths in the club? Or maybe more of an engineer or good DIYer job.

I'd like a new pair of arm rests (the cup bits for your forearms) for my tri bars made if anyone would be able to help can you pm me please. Basically it's 2 rectangular-ish metal plates with rounded edges and curved up at the two short ends to make a bit of a cup, then two or three accurately spaced pairs holes with countercunk edges so the bolts will sit flush.

Had a good search around for spares but can't find what I'm after. Happy to pay a skilled 'smith to do a custom job for me.

Thanks.

Alex at Alpha Welding is your man.
He's in Bensham lane near to the London road end, will weld anything for you and you can have a good yarn with him,
I've been popping in and out his workshop ever since I got on 2 wheels.

Thanks Paul but I need a 2 hole fixing. I looked earlier and those PX ones were out of stock, they must have found a pair in the drawer. I need the same front and rear type fixing as that, if someone has the PX bars would they mind measuring the distance between the f/r holes for me. I need 25mm c-c and taking an M4 bolt. Don't worry if not I'll call Cammish in the morning, always nice to talk to a legend.

Much appreciated.
