Up for a run?

Postby Ghaleb » Mon Jan 10, 2011 2:56 pm

As its cold, dark, wet this time of the year and I don’t have a turbo trainer at home, I go running in the gym during the week as it’s more convenient. It gets boring running on the treadmill for more than half an hour. So I was thinking if anybody would be interested in running some where around Purley after work during the week (probably for lets say 30-40 mins to start with).

So how’s up for this?!?! :D

A few of us run at South Lonon Harriers in Coulsdon. The club has very good evening sessions and caters for all abilities.

Thanks Paul, I might consider that.
I would prefer something closer to me though, just for the reason that it would be more convenient for me. But its good to know there is a running club near by.

Running could be a supplement to cycling in some ways... even pro's do it :D

I went for a hilly run last night, after my bike commute, hadn't done that in ages at that time of day. Quite nice especially Croham Hurst in pitch dark although a bit tricky as it was muddy, and I only had a handheld Petzl torch which was not much help!

Sounds like good fun !

Yesterday I did an hour run in the gym, and then I stuffed myself with two home made burgers!

Similar scenario here, except in reverse order.
