I wasn't complaining. £59 seems pretty good for a hotel of this quality.

My point was that the only thing extra that the hotel has to provide if the room is used by two people is a second breakfast. £79 - £59 = £20 = one expensive breakfast.

Just eat bucketloads and take a doggy bag - job done?

Joyce

Can you put one ticket aside for me, I will try to drop by if I am in the area, otherwise I may have to wait until the day of the dinner.

Thanks

When I commented on the poster Huw said I could buy the artist's original artwork for 10 grand so I could have a guess  . It is superb.

Ifs Drinks are from 7pm what time are we expected to go through to dine, I only ask so I can make a suitably late entrance but be in time to feed my face

Thanks to everyone who turned out to make this such a brilliant occasion - particular mention must go to Alex who organised the whole thing and was our MC; and Tamar who organised all the 100 or so medals and trophies that were presented on the night; and of course Joyce for being an exceptional President, handing out the trophies and giving an excellent speech to finish the evening.

I really enjoyed myself - if I'm honest far more than I thought I would - great people, great conversation, the quiz was fun, just great to see so many Agreeables having such an agreeable time. Really good also to see John Lovell again coming all this way for the evening and to present the John Lovell Trophy (Pity Tel wasn't there to receive it!  ).

Well done to everyone - and roll on next year!

Jon, my wife and I both had a really good evening. I’ve only been a member of the Addiscombe for a year and hadn’t realised how many good friends I had made, there was no chance of being bored. A big thank you to all that made it happen. What a great night and it only cost £30! :D

What a terrrific evening! We thoroughly enjoyed meeting old and new friends, sharing a table with Angelo and his family from 'Cafe Addiscombe' Nona Rossa. A big thanks to Alex for a well organised evening and to all others involved.

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend. Fantastic organisation, lovely food, but best of all was being able to meet so many of my Addiscombe friends. The memories never fade, friendship is as strong as ever.
Keith Butler and I have on many occasions said that when you take up cycling you haven't taken up a sport, you have caught a disease for which there is no known cure.
How true that has turned out to be.
Thanks everyone, and see you up the road.
John.

Great night out. Good to see everyone scrubbed up OK.

Bit disappointed that they closed the bar at midnight, but with hindsight this probably stopped things getting too messy.

Due to circumstances beyond our control (well, OK then, we forgot  ), the cash prizes for 1st, 2nd & 3rd handicap each week in the evening 10 TTs weren't distributed at the dinner. I'll email all the relevent peeps and sort out collection/delivery.
