Home needed for 2 chinchillas

Postby Tamar » Thu Jan 27, 2011 12:27 pm

Two endearing little gentlemen need a home for up to 12 months whilst their owners go travelling...can you help?

“We’re Arthur and Herbert, a pair of middle-aged chinchillas. We like meeting new people, especially if you have a raisin or a mini shredded wheat for us (in which case we might even hop onto your lap) but we’d prefer you to keep your mitts off our beautiful soft fur if you don’t mind. Eww, dirty fingers!

We’re really quite lazy and like to cuddle up and snooze through the day so if you go out to work that suits us perfectly....just make sure we can have some time out of the cage before you go and when you get back. Although we’ve got a lovely big cage we do get a bit grumpy with each other if we haven’t had enough of a scamper.

Our only naughty habit is that we like to nibble cables so please make sure they’re out of reach. Oh, and you might also want to blutack wooden battens over plaster corners as try as we might we just can’t resist them...but those are our only really naughty habits.

If you think you can help please send a pm to Tamar.”

Maybe Amy's cat would like two little playmates.

I did wonder what she'd make of them

I really don't know where my cat gets her reputation - she's really a big scaredy cat but I think it would end badly

Sorry Tamar would love to help, they're cute little buggers, like guinea pigs with huge ears. Blame first time buyers, or lack of, otherwise I'd be in a nice house with a garden but there's none of them about at the moment.

I have a picture of the chinnies but am too incompetent to work out how to put it on the forum. I've tried cut and paste. I've tried clicking on that button that says Img. But to no avail. Does anyone have idiot-proof instructions?

I'm with you there, Tamar - I'm sure the guys have far more time and inclination than us girls to do to keep playing about with computers day and night. Being on a computer all day at work is more than enough for me

But back on topic - what a cute pair of fellers! I wish I could help but, apart from Claudia probably not liking them, I'm hoping to move this year...

Hope you get someone soon. Perhaps an announcement on the club run?
