Addiscombe rider converts to Yoga !

Postby MattD » Wed Feb 02, 2011 11:43 pm

Just a quick check in to say hello , and let you know of a few changes just in case anyone has missed me ! At this time of year I am usually in the middle of my winter training , looking forward to the Crit season at Hog Hill , and planning for my PBP atics - however this year is different ! . In November last year I was made redundant from a Bank I had worked for for 14 years - not too much of a shock , but it has prompted me to take some time out , and take a sabbatical .

Initial thoughts were to ride around the world in a record time...maye move to belgium and join the local chain gangs - but no, I have instead decided to put the bike (s) in storage, go to India for a month staying in an ashram, and qualify to be a yoga teacher !

After some traveling I will be back in mid April, just in time to get trounced @ Hg Hill!

If any one wishes to follow my antics , I have succumbed to Facebook and will provide a few updates here on my adventures.

Who knows , I may just specialise in Cycling yoga when I get back !

Have a good time Matt, I did wonder yesterday when posting on the Old Ports RR thread if we'd see you there. That'll be a no then :) .

Knowing you're mile munching the round the World wouldn't have surprised me!

Well done Matt - sounds really exciting.

I'm reading lots of encouraging tales of folk leaving the relative tyranny and false security of regular work to try other, perhaps more exciting things. Have a great trip and perhaps you can lead an ACC class when you get back?

Good luck Matt.

But surely a month isn't long enough to become a proper hippy.
