Kingston Wheelers Sporting 14 TT

Well the 2011 time trial season has started for Addiscombe with 4 Agreeables entered into this testing little sporting course.

Paul Hone, Matt Chapman, Beckie Woodland & Richard Hosking (dns) had entered so I took a ride down there in the drizzle to cheer them on.

The weather was pretty foul with light drizzle turning to rain throughout the event, the road surfaces were diabolical and would not fancy racing a disc wheel over this course.

Matt Chapman was absoloutly flying round today and was only 46 seconds off winning the event with a 33.53 :D finishing 4th on scratch

Beckie was smiling her way round after recovering from a nasty broken wrist 43.13

Paul Hone had used up his puff on the clubrun the day before 35.54:wink:

George, many thanks for the big shout in some very miserable conditions, I was seriously glad to be back into the village hall tucking into tea and chocolate brownies!

Last year I went up to the national duathlon champs at Clumber Park where Daniel Mccarthy won the event and put 5 minutes into me, he also went on to win the World Duathlon Championships in Edinburgh. When I walked into registration to see him signing in I knew that this was going to be a tasty race and give me the chance to see how I was going in comparison. He got the better of me, but not by much. Now got to make sure that I can get the running sorted ready for the start of the tri season!
