Very nostalgic. I remember getting my first alloy pedals with clips and straps back in '78. Then some chrome drops off a bloke in my class at school for a fiver, a Brooks B17 saddle, and first summer job wage went on replacing the 3-speed Sturmey Archer with 5 speed Simplex derailleur.
After all that I still had to walk the bloody thing up the hill to Woldingham!
