As you can see in the above photo Mr PVT followed Paul in for the win in his new Caterham kit car, which the organiser enjoyed

Shouldn't he know better?

I must say Paul rode a great race, in the break he asked if the Kingston Wheeler wanted to come with paul and myself attacking the breakaway, which for sure would have worked, but he made the wrong choice and now regrets this as Paul went on to win, if you take a look at the Kingston Wheelers forum there is alot of praise for Paul :D
http://www.kingstonwheelers.co.uk/kwccf ... c&start=15
, The Kingston Wheelers should have been able to win the race with the numbers they had in but when Paul solo'd off the front they didn't react or organise themselves.

Top result and ride Paul, and one of many to come this season I suspect.

Well done to the rest of the guys too, sounds like some solid performances all round.

Great result!

Mark

PS for those of us in the B Training Group at least we now know that when Paul comes thundering past with the A TG there's no-one else around who goes any faster!

well done Paul - great result there for you :)

I was in the sportive ride ( Surrey Rumble org by Twickenham CC ), that was briefly held for a few moments as you all swept past - I was pleased to see about 5 Addiscombe riders in the field - nice to read on here that you went on to win it ...

He certainly should, taken from the BikeRadar Forum[quote]

Rule 20.10.4
Where a vehicle, not being an official vehicle, but
connected with a rider or riders in a race, immediately
precedes or follows a race without the permission of
the Chief Commissaire, [...], the rider or riders concerned
shall be withdrawn from the race

Notice the car behind Paul...

But we won't hold that against a great ride but having a strange unknown car in the middle of the race convoy (between the rider and the asst comm!) is a little worrying for us organisers.

Did you ask Paul H before posting his report on other forums? Do you often post links to our forum elsewhere - i get this impression Toks. I know there's no harm meant and that whatever's on the internet is free to use, but I find this a bit troublesome.

I definitly post links to this forum mostly for recruiting or advertising puposes (womens ride, Alan`s Sportive` race promotions, just for fun group etc)also when I had my blog, and races I've done and georges 'best club run of the year`thread also other lurkers post links to ACC to. But, fair comment I shoulda checked with Paul. We dont often win Road Races so I got a bit carried away - ACC`s on the map and all that... If I thought was likely to cause a bit of bother I wouldn`t have done it (eg. if he`d took the mickey out of another rider like I've occassionally done  ). I usually have a bit of banter with Jim from Kingston wheeler so I wanted to show the BikeRadar forum readers that my prediction had came true. No worries, we`ll leave it on our forum next time :D

Don't know so guess work, but, I would guess the rule is there to stop support vehicles or people taking advantage from friends cars. From the vid link Paul was a long way clear and the car didn't have any bearing on what happened with his victory, unless of course it pulled out late in front of chasers causing them to slow. PVT has many years of both racing and commisairing experience and I would be extremely surprised if he did anything that impacted on the race.
