What a great piece thanks. I had spent most of a lunch break reading most of it in the shops!

[quote]I thought it was normal to line your CDs up in alphabetical order of artist.

That's perfectly normal

Also quite short and major OCD, I'm begining to think we're related.

I now only buy albums by ABC, Aha, Abba or ZZ Top so as not to mess up the display

Do you drop the "The" from band names for filing purposes or have an overloaded and messed up T section? Any albums by The The? Solo artists by surname I trust unless you're a madman, which I stick to with blues singers like Alvin "Youngblood" Hart too so he's under H not Y.
Books by author too, although I do split some off in to their own genre if they're non-fiction or it's just madness having a cycling book in the middle of the thrillers or Wodehouse.
...nurse fetch the medication, he's up again.

I do indeed Sylv, not everything's on a 78  . I don't listen to music on the move though so I only use it as an easy way to copy CDs or make a mix for the car.
Never bought anything from it though, I don't want to buy a computer file for music I want something physical and tactile. I don't like the idea of kindles for similar reasons, part of the joy of a book is the book. I'll stop now or I'll turn this in to a cross-over between Grumpy Old Men and The Culture Show :) .

[quote]But as her rivals know especially well from last season, turn your back for a moment and she’ll put a knife in it.

I hope that's where the similarities end!

(I don't see why they wrote that anyway as it goes against the rest of the portrait)

They put it because they aren't very good at English. I'm guessing they meant taking advantage of a situation which is not the same as stabbing someone in the back.

You mean there's another way of doing it, other than alphabetical by band, then chronologically within the band's catalogue?
