I think what’s got to be considered (as I think Keith eludes to) is future needs for getting messages out and the technology that is being used. The forum is great for those who use it, but moving with the times and the fact that facebook/twitter are mediums being used more and people using Smartphone’s to get their daily fix/feed is something that should be considered. I have the luxury of having both a PC and Smartphone access however it's no fun trying to read this forum on a Smartphone or maybe thats my eye sight going with old age .

I think Jon Avery set it up, not quite sure.

I think we should see if we can change the current one. because you can now get notifications from groups and stuff on fb. could be both good and annoying depending on what/how much people post!

Marky Mark is a well known lover of this Forum...... BUT, I don't have my head stuck in a computer all day. I am now one of the many boring Smart Phone owners, this now means that I only get seconds to grab information and reply to it.

For the past months the only information I get chance to read is what the new boss John has taken the time to email us.

I know, I don't have a lot of time period.

Facebook gets my vote.

Currently there is no way to make an old group into a new style group on fb. I think we should wait until Zuckerberg & co update it the next time so we can change it, as opposed to creating two fb groups which could get messy. I also understand not every ACC member is a teenager with some form of social networking addiction or like Rob, Alan M, Sean and the infamous Mark, as a result it may take a few years such as with the current group to reach out to even 60-70% of the ACC-ers on fb.

If we're really that keen I think myself, Marco and the other admins of the group could possibly sort put a fb page, which is more like a fanpage, so we won't get group chat and I don't think admins can message all members I think.

Updated the group to the new group format as FB are archiving all the old groups, no idea what that meant but thought it was better to upgrade than to find out.
