Hey thanks Marcus - great report. I did wonder when you guys (2nd group) got going properly (4th lap i think) whether you'd make it across initially. There seemed to be lots of shouting and rotations seemed a bit inconsistent. On the penultimate lap you flew past us (marshalling on the decent where car was burnt out) and we could tell it was only a matter of time. :D

[quote="Toks"]Nice one Allan, I think that's quite magnanimous of you to make an apology on our forum. We're a pretty agreeable bunch and I'm sure we all accept your apology. Having read Mulberry's (Marcus: Norwood Paragon) report it was pretty remarkable win given what happened to you in the last few K's. Chapeau Dude :D

Ditto.

[quote="George"]Paul and I went to visit Dan in mayday this afternoon.

He's doing well, not too much pain now and just has to wait in hospital for the internal bleeding to stop.
He has to stay still on his back in bed so no walking around yet, he's in good spirits and looking forward to getting back on another bike.

He's in Queens 2 on the 2nd floor of Orange ward near the main Mayday hospital entrance.

if anyone sees Dan would you tell him that Sean Hogan sends his best wishes for a speedy recovery. tnx :D

Hello Agreeable Chums,

I just wanted to say I got out of hospital this afternoon. I've been signed off work for a further month and have to have a battery of follow up scans & tests just to confirm my recovery proceeds properly .

I don't wish to dwell on the incident in too much detail as it was frankly pretty traumatic; but I would like to thank everyone for their support, especially those who took the time to visit me in hospital and doubly so for Kate, Becks and Slyv who stayed with me during that initial, terrifying, night in A+E.

you have all melted my blackened and bitter old heart

Thank you all so much and I shall see you on the road real soon.

yrs

Daniel xx
