Thank you to all of those who helped me run this eveny, I couldn't have done it without you.

Good conditions and some very good times from a quality field. Scratch man Richard Simmonds took a comfortable win, Germain Burton did a cracking ride.

For Addiscombe some very good rides, topped by another belter from George who finished 6th on scratch with an excellent 55.03. PBs for Phil, Lucy and Ian, and Lucy just pipped Sarah Archdeacon of De Laune for 2nd fastest woman to continue her rather nice habit of picking up prize money at every event she races :D .

Well organised and marshalling (and words of encouragement - which did spur me on) very much appreciated on the way round. Cake and tea appreciated afterwards. Not sure how much longer I can carry on improving without doing some sort of training though.

I think I actually prefer this course. The A29 is kind to the larger rider.

Perhaps the mods could amalgamate the two current threads.

Well done and thanks to all who made the eveny(?) happen, without these people there would not be an eveny.

I hope I managed a shout to all those who marshalled and helped.

Thanks to Andrew  for booking a sunny day far in advance.

My legs hurt all afternoon.

Lovely cake from Amy and as ever a big smile from Joyce, who seems to still really enjoy all the TTs, but that could be that she gets to kiss all the winners!

I hope you're all not saying how good my cake is just because you're scared of me

It went very well on the canteen side of things with Joyce and myself there at 5.30  to get most of it ready to go. Our third helper turned up at 7 and it all went smoothly. Had some entertainment at the start to make the early hour a bit more bearable from the Icknield? rider

Special commendation to Peachey for pushing off every rider - you definitely needed extra cake after all that!

ps I'm going to have some really good cake tomorrow - gardening at my mum's :D

"I'm in the money" :D Didn't expect to be in with the prizes this week, shame 2 other ladies didn't start . . . but hey, still saving for my pointy hat, so need a few more wins!

Very well organised event, thanks for the encouragement from all the marshals and I'm sorry I just growled, gurned or sniffed in reply :x
I was hoping to go faster, well don't we all! But happy to get a PB.

Punished myself this afternoon with a 1 hour run, and some weights  Now time to curl up on the sofa and enjoy my chocolate bunny
. . . and have a look at the CTT handbook to see what's next :D

Well done Lucy and everyone, wished i'd been well enough to be there and help even though it meant a 5am start!

Germain was spotted doing intervals in increasingly harder gears up the Bec climb this morning, and will be at Palace tomorrow George if you want a re-match
