Carole- you must get a telly!

Don't worry to much, it will come back- its always there.

Jo and I had a bit of a break but now we are back and are loving it more.

when I was TTing coach Viney's support and advice were vital. He had the experience to guide me and his investment in me created a gentle pressure for me to perform. I mean - how was I gonna feel if at the end of the week I hadn't done the work? Like a chump - that's how!

Putting yourself through pain on someone else's instruction feels weirdly....better?

Well you've got to take some of the blame for the kids Carole, it wasn't entirely down to someone else  .

Lost motivation for what? Training, or the bike in general?

If it's bike in general then take a break and/or just ride purely socially for fun and take the stress out of riding to train (if that's what's happening?)

Are you training for any specific targets at the moment?

If you're training do you do it alone? If so then is there someone you could train with to spark off them.

If you're looking to get back in to the TTing (or even just improve fitness) then how about signing up for Jon C's TT series and have a kick start there, easy and laid back and you may find they help get back in to the training/racing naturally through the social side of them with the training benefit a freebie tagged on.

Have you considered putting one or more of them up for adoption?

Hi Carole,

I know how you feel! I am currently finding it hard to get motivated to get out and ride/race, especially with it conflicting with family time. I have decided to take it easy and ride because I want to rather than because I think I should and not too worried about training etc. Currently I am mainly going out on my own for short runs (2 hours or so - so rules out the club run - which is a round trip of 4 hours for me) when the weather is good and enjoying the riding and break from work/home, avoiding the hills if I don't fancy them at the time.

Carol don't stress yourself -just try and start riding consistently whenever time, family and work allow and see where that gets you. :D :D
