Good news and bad news re the Hounslow 100.
I should really slide a 100 in before the 24, and had intended to, but looking at the book this was the only practical option. With my previous bad experience there, a 6am start, and the fact I thought no-one else from the club would be doing it I’d crossed it from the list.
With at least one other Addiscombe there it will be a bit better as you can give me a nudge when you overtake me George if it looks like I’ve nodded off.
Bad news for me as it means I’ve got to find a way to remove my brain on a short term basis in the next few weeks, good news is according to the CTT website the start has been moved to 8am.
As George says you can be self sufficient there. I’m happy to do it unsupported, 2 bottles on the bike, spare tub and 2 more bottles (rocket booster style) behind the saddle, and a little bag of flapjack on the top tube. Plenty of laybys too so you can leave a bag with a couple of bottles in and do a brief stop and switch if you prefer.
