Padding a-la- hogan stylee, new post for every sentence :D

it did seem quite windy down at the start line today, couldn't work out which way the wind was blowing,

I tried to think "aero" today, and I think I succeded- usually its a twix day

I have driven over the course a coupla times- just to make sure over the past few weeks, and was convinced it was a bit of a drag up all the way to the turn- it is!
Not as bad as it seems though.
I had a loan of :mrgreen:s turbo to use on the warm up- never done that before- and I felt useless, hot, bothered and tired. These early PM slots leave you at a natural low ( unless you're Dowsett-Hutch et al- even some 80 year old bloke came in with a very short 25  )
Any how we're off.... don't go too fast...PLF.....easy....PLF.....watch your HR........PLF
Gasping for a drink..... not even close to the Hen and Chicken yet.....even furthur to the Bull :( ,
round the turn..... not seen my minute man for ages.......thunder in my ears....oh its a carbon disc.. my 2 min man- reversed- comes by, looks like he's pootling on the J4F- I'm not laughing.
I nearly catch him on the col de Chicken but suddenly realise that I'm in the red too much and have to back off for a few seconds.
I seem to be in a bit of a daze and nearly lose it into the armco barrier-clench-
After that it all goes ok- a bit breezy and you can feel the wind hitting the wheels, nearly on my minute man now- I never catch him .

Until I got to HQ i didnt have a clue about my time - power cables overhead buggered up the polar- pleased to see a PB of 24.08.

HQ was packed waiting for the times of Hutch and Dowsett- it smelt like an old pair of socks!

Thanks to all who have given me advice over the past few months regarding training-racing-positioning and encouragement to pack it in and take up golf.

Nice new PB, ruined your handicap chance in the evening 10  .

You know what to do for 10s now, ignore the digital toys and plf :) .

Normally like a twix, chocolate fingers...?

I was at Bentley with my Vectis protegee, Matt Harris. I had hoped to meet up with the two Agreeables who were there but no such luck.
Matt was on his first DC event so was pleased to return 23.38. he was off 2 minutes in front of Steve and just managed to pip him.
A great day out for me. :D

Matt did indeed pip me by a few seconds - my time was 23:42! No breathing problems this time with nice warm humid air.
