Hi Toks,

I'll be there so can help with whatever duties.
As it's a a round of the London Women's League I will need to be in the finish area at the time the women cross the finish line so
I can help with working out the finishing order/rankings of the women's race.

Our Marshalls are:
Robbie
Aodan
Ed
Antloony
Andy W
Kieran
Darren
Maria
Serge
Chris

Big thanks again everyone, fingers crossed for sunshine on May 10th Chris  Anyone else who wants to come along please do; Palace is a great venue for watching Crit Racing. Unlike a Road Race you can see the action every 2 minutes and hopefully they'll be some ACC guys racing too :D

Bit of a close run thing - we were still looking for marshalls with 5 mins to go

My mashall point got double booked so I carried on to find a free spot: thanks to the guy who was on point 4 for letting me take his place while he rode off to find any marshall point not manned.

Good fun watching the racing, as at least there's nearly always someone going by - and one little girl stopped at Darren's station every time round to have her gear changed down so she could go up the hill - awwwwww! Wish I'd seen that :D I had a busy little corner with joggers and walkers coming up from behind me somewhere every so often. Only problem was that most of them had i-pods in so communicating with them was a little hard... but most seemed to know the drill.

One guy crashed just above me - thankfully Chris was nearer and dealt with it. From the other rider involved I take it he was going too fast for the bend... What happened in the other two crashes I heard?

Thanks to Toks and everyone who came to marshall and support last night, and real sorry for Steve and Adam who, like quite a few others, were turned down when the new 100-rider limit was reached.

Cheers Sylv. I enjoy shouting out encouragement and seeing you guys race.

Gutted for Steve though, he's going great guns and would have been good see him team up with you Sylv.

Thanks to Darren for the lift home.

yep thanks to the marshalls around the course for your support. Was my 1st palace race and really enjoyed it.Just Rob and myself in the 3/4's Managed to stay in the main bunch not get dropped and 'enjoy' the 40 mins of pain. didn't try any heroics by trying to get to the front to finish top 10 becouse a. i wanted to get the feel of racing there and in a bunch and b. seeing as i was near to the back for most of the race didn't feel i had the guts or strength to do it anyway :D
you were going well in the E12's Sylv what was your place in the end?

My first race of the season at Palace and what a baptism of fire.I managed to stay up the front for most of the race, drifting around the first 15ish,but its so easy to lose position in the blink of an eye you`ve gone from near the front to the back,so it felt some times that i was chasing back on for most of the race.On the last lap i managed to get in about 4th place but on the hill the race and my legs went bang and i think i went from 4th down to 24th.Not to worry learn`nt a lot about the race for next time.
