If anyone among the slower groups hasn't done the route before, it's set out on:
http://www.mapmyride.com/routes/view/34573030Well, it's not quite the standard route, in that this one turns left opposite the church on the run down to Merstham and arrives at the Bletchingly crossroads in a slightly quieter fashion. Also, on the assumption that if you're going to climb Ditchling and Devil's Dyke, you might as well do Box Hill too, this one turns off at Newdigate on the way back and follows the BH route to Nonna's.
So,if you haven't done it before, don't forget sun cream and perhaps the jelly babies for the Ditchling boost....and the pasta tonight, and a good night's sleep, and a decent breakfast, and perhaps an extra spare tube, and some cash or a card for lunch (and perhaps the train home), and be at Coulsdon South for the off at 8:20 or 8:40.
I'll be coming back with a group slowly from Brighton, so anyone doubting they can do it there and back, dont worry, we'll be in no great hurry.
