Eastbourne Cycling festival 21-22 May

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Anyone heading down or taking part in any of this weekends rides or races ?

I plan on racing on the Sunday be it the cat 4 Crit or the 3rd cat road race. Both have entry on the day and look to have quite a few pre enties already. If the weather is good might be a grand day out :D .

Both races are in the afternoon so give plenty of time to get down there and sign on etc.

All the details can be found http://www.visiteastbourne.com/events/cycling.aspx

Let me know if anyone fancies it 8)

I'm doing the ' classic ' 106 ml sportive on Sunday, should be a good course and all new to me as I have not ridden down there before.. Hopefully I can catch some of the crit races when I'm finished - wear your ACC jersey so I can spot you easy :)

I was looking at this a few weeks ago. I have a friend going for the 3rds race, but I'm not going to be able to go for this unfortunately. Looks quite good though, the RR takes in a few laps of the crit circuit then 2 laps over Beachy Head!
Enjoy yourself Serge! Also I hope to join you for some of the Hove Park crits.
Expecting so good race reports :D

Hi Serge - how did you get on ?

sorry I did not stay for your race - when I heard it was not due to start till 4:30 I pushed off for home, I had been up since 4:45 am ( had to get up real early for my brekky before driving to Eastbourne for the registration & start of the sportive), and was starting to feel really tired.. It seemed to be getting even more windy on the front - if that was possible ! must have been v tough race, the sportive was fairly gruelling..
I saw Chris & Lisa ( think thats them ), the tri athlete couple at the sportive registration.. Not seen them for ages so it was nice to say hello ...
