If the ACC Club Sportive leaves you gagging for more then why not pitch your might against The Waller Pain Hill Climb Challenge. 12th June 2011 Full details here: http://www.caterhamtable.com/

Yes, due to the success of last years inaugural event and by popular demand this now annual challenge has returned giving last years competitors and new comers a chance to set new personal best times.

This really is a unique event in the hill climbing calendar which has been nominated by Cycling Active Magazine as a must do event for 2011.

Following a similar style to the classic Catford and Bec Hill climbs but with a slight difference -
This is a just for fun event encouraging all levels of rider and ages...Kids, Fat Dads, Fit Mums, Uni Cyclists, Tandem Riders, Shy Club Riders as well as the usual Competitive Types.

You can read the 2010 Cycling Weekly report and results here http://www.cyclingweekly.co.uk/news/latest/473097/bransby-wins-inaugural-waller-pain-hillclimb.html and yes our very own Hal Bransby took centre podium. His record is up for the taking Sylv!

I am looking for as much support as possible from fellow agreeables in the form of taking part in the challenge or lining the route and cheering on the challengers. So rock up with your families guys and girls, c'mon you know you want to!

See you on the line.

Sorry Scott I'll be away. I think Hal is doing some secret training. Hope you get a good attendance again, was good fun last year.

Indeed I will return to defend my title.

But have hired one of these for the weekend so that the twins can join in! (Can I divide my time by 3?)

There is also a food festival in Caterham the same day so a good incentive to attend.

I've got the entry forms and everything here for me and Tom. I hope he doesn't beat me by too much.

That was good fun. Nice to see a fair few give it a go despite the weather.Tom and I will definitely be back - how often do you get to see elite riders compete with 7 year olds on BMXes? I messed up my ride but don't really care - I got around the corner so wasn't visible from the start when I blew.

Congratulations to Tom and Mr Pie, I walked it, and it was steep in many places. I used to live off Waller lane and don't remember it being this steep or long so well done Tom. :D
also saw Hal who relinquished his crown but still managed 1-28. Faster than many cars manage it.
