Turbo

Postby Lucyap » Wed Jun 01, 2011 10:08 pm

Hello, can anyone recommend a turbo trainer to me - as my Mum has stolen my old one
Needs to be "cheap-ish", not tooo noisy and easy to set up. My old one eats tyres, it's a Cycleops, do all cheaper one's do that?
 Or maybe I should think about getting rollers? I've never used them, do you get a better workout than on a turbo??

Any thoughts please?
Lucy.

Maybe somebody out there has kept a recent magazine review? These usually come out late in the year.

Use a separate (cheap) rear wheel with a turbo tyre fitted to save your road tyres.

I simply don't get on with turbos - I find them soul destroying. Happier on rollers - that's just me though.

With a few exceptions, you can get an equal workout by using rollers with resistance.
