Dauphiné

Postby Phil H » Thu Jun 09, 2011 10:14 am

Got home last night in time to watch the end of the ITT highlights with Tom. Brad has quite a lead now - 1'11" over Cuddles and nearly 2 minutes on Vino. He ought not lose anything today - but with Sky's tactical genius, that isn't certain. I understand there are one or two hills on the remaining stages though which might give Wiggins some trouble.

Anyone brave enough to predict a winner?

Just watched the highlights. A good win for Wiggins, but I can't help thinking that it's boring way to win a tour - ride a great TT and don't lose time on the hills. We'll see how that works when he's faced with Schlecks and Drugs and... Sorry, Contador.

Not wishing to steal anyone else's thunder but I see the CAS ruling has been pushed back to August now. So, theoretically, we could have the guy stripped of 2 Tour wins and 1 Giro.

I suppose I think of Wiggins as more of a Murray than a Nadal. We shall see.
