:D .
No report Keith? Come on, something must have happened in the build up to the complete domination of the top 10.

Well done everyone - to be honest it was a pretty poor race last night despite ACC scoring well. The numbers were extremely low due to (I guess) the weather.

The 3 groups came together pretty quickly and no wanted to do any work. My legs still felt dreadful after a hard tuesday night training session with Andy and Matt C.

The numbers diminished to about 15 on the last lap - and Keith had a go at an attack on the last lap - but it got shut down pretty quickly. A car coming the other way from the finished line hampered a few - and the remaining 15 sprinted for the points.

Great to see so many ACC,

Cheers,

Darren

Nice one Dave, I remembered that quote. Don't forget what he's first three word were though. "In Professional Cycling..."

Oher reports.Bayeux Cycling Team (forum)

With inclement weather, many decided to stay at home but it was actually a drying circuit with only one rain shower lasting not more than one lap.

Small gaps between the 3 groups didn't need much pace to bring the race together where upon the pace was steady. Yours truely joined a man up the road with 3 more bridging to form a small break of 5. Addiscombe were represented in this so why the other 4 riders in their team didn't block the chase is beyond me. In fact later on they were quite keen to chase down their own riders in their hardly demolishing forays off the front. Nice one chaps.

Bunch lined out a bit in last lap after a push up the hill but nothing too stretching. I tucked onto 2nd wheel as pace went up which kept things nicely strung out on way to line. I broke cover at sight of the line as others were making way up, two faster riders slipped past in the sprint not helped by me nearly coming a croppper mid sprint in a road side dip hidden in the shade of the trees.

By my reckoning it was a 3rd place that should have been better but I'll take what I can at this stage (especially as i was in a fast crit last night too up in Ipswich (no result there as saving for tonight)). Looking forward to next week's Wivelsfield race. Are the Lewes crits over by then and will have a bigger field?
