Carpet tiles - outlets

Postby Amy » Tue Jun 21, 2011 1:09 pm

Anybody know anywhere with a decent range of domestic carpet tiles? Somewhere in the Croydon/Sutton/Redhill area?

I'm looking for something half decent to go in my flat.

Yes, I've already checked out B&Q, Homebase and Wickes...

Why tiles? just go to a carpet place and get them to relay the place properly

[quote="Dombo"]Why tiles?

They're easy to move around to hide the cat sick stains :lol:

I don't know if Allders still do carpets but they used to do a great range of carpet tiles.

The best are probably the ones used in offices, very hard wearing but not so soft on the feet. But hey it is tiles your after and not carpet. So with this in mind I would phone a company that fits out offices and ask them where they get their tiles from.

Or you could always live in an office. The furniture is quite hardwearing too and the broadband usually superfast

That's nothing. Wait til you get a puncture on the CR. The advice will be flowing thick and fast.

Or how about just tiles, for that mediterranean holiday apartment look? Chuck down some rugs, et voila!

Tiles + cycling shoes?

Curse you Mr. Hemming. I was working up a pun based on that but everything that sprung to mind was far too filthy for a family website.

Thank you, John, it was indeed! Sorry, it got lost among all the other, less serious, answers. After all, it's up to me what I have in my flat and I do think carpet tiles a suitable solution and it is only to make the place look half decent while I (hopefully) sell it....

Might be worth thinking about wood or wood-effect flooring if you're thinking of selling. Or just straight carpet. Most potential buyers would likely be put off by carpet tiles - perhaps get an estate agent round and ask their opinion?
