I added TFL's reply about Sandwich Man on the Site, apparently they letting 1 person log loads of peoples miles under 1 name - not cool.

bl**dy ridiculous. I hope you wrote back and said it's not acceptable. who the hell doesn't have access to a computer these days?!! cheat ! cheat! cheat! cheat! I'm going to put all the ACC riders miles on my acoount - let's see 50 riders @ 100 miles = 5000 miles because they don't have access to a computer. I know it's only a bit of fun, but really. it stinks.

I've joined and logged some of my miles - will log last week's stuff too. Got the Tour of the Black Mountains coming up so that will help!

Edit - hmmm it seems my membership is still awaiting approval.

All authorised Spike. We now have 10 members, so unless we get another 40 best we stay where we are.

Remember you can post back to the 18th June, so Spike it looks like you have a few more days you can add.

Any more to be posted, we currently in second place needing about 350 miles to be logged to go in front.

How do we count turbo time?

Not that I've spent any time on the turbo. Didn't even ride to work today. Bad man. Promise to do some miles tomorrow.

Ermm I will let you decide if that counts. You are cycling on a real bike just you don't actually go anywhere, but could argue thats its equivalent of doing x miles. But if counts does an exercise bike in the Gym count? As I say I let you decide that one.

So did you post those miles? Nobody would know you didn't actually go anywhere lol.

On another note we have an 11th member wanting to join. For some reason even though I haven't accepted them yet it has moved us into the 11-50 category, which I would say is wrong. So were 45th at present there, but would be 2nd in the 2-10, and quite a way back. Surprised we have 3 riders not Elite yet.

So next up is get another 39 member to sign up - come on guys and gals, it doesn't matter how many miles you do they all help.

For those who do sign up can you please register miles even though you have not be accepted yet. We will have to see if we really want to move to the next category and with 11 I think the concensus would be not yet. So lets get those numbers participating up to 50. Pretty please.

This is just to bump it back up, as i think its fallen off a few peoples radar. Whats the delay in enrolling number 11? Surely at this late stage we get back in the smaller competition and at least be in third place!

The problem with enrolling number 11 is we end up being 40th or so in the next category, instead of 2nd in the 2-11 category. Ie one wins prizes the other doesn't. If we can have another 39 enrol and log a few miles then jumping up to the higher category would be fantastic. Not sure though why it seems so hard to get the numbers, takes virtually no effort to register and log your miles, however far or short they happen to be for.

Hey McTaffy/Alan and all

I reckon we might have to push on with getting another 30 odd members considering that we haven't been put back in the 2-10 category. Here's an idea...

3 of us (i.e. Alan, me and one other willing volunteer) could get 10 other people to join the team. I'll make up a registration sheet for each of us to take on Saturday. At the end of the club ride at Nonna's we each get 10 other riders to register their details on the sheet (including the miles they will do on the day), which we can then use to register them online. We'll give each person the same password so we can log in miles for them. All they need to do is respond to the email confirmation letter. As each of the new members responds, we can log in the miles they did on Saturday. After this, if the new members want to register more miles, they can do this themselves.

If we get an extra 30 members registering 49 miles for Saturday 9 June, that will bring our total points to well over 20 000, putting us in contention for a 3rd or 2nd place finish in the 11-50 category. That is, assuming we keep on logging miles at the rate we are currently going, and if we put in an effort in the last week to get our membership numbers close to 50.

What do you think guys?

I'm up for anything. Especially as Ralph CC would now push us into 3rd in the 2-10 category.

So what we need Ideally is a little table with all the dates which can be filled in and their email address, then we do the rest.

I done a registration sheet already :D, a rough sample is below, unfortunately forum doesn't like tables so the real thing is much better. Anyway a version is below so if anyone wants to quickly fill it in we will do the hard work for you. (If required we could make a new email address for you as well, which you could dump after the competition has completed and prizes given out assuming we win)

It would be easier to scrub nO 11, no offence, and get back among the prizes. After all its the rest of us that have committed to signing up and religiously putting the miles in, surely we should see a reward. I know sounds very selfish, but otherwise its going to have been a pointless exercise other than to give tfl and an indication of how cycling mad the greater london area is.

Obviously we would only jump up if we felt we had the numbers, and therefore the reward would be greater. As it stands we are 725 miles or 1,162 points behind Ralph CC in the 2-10 category, so unless somebody has got a lot of miles to be booked then 3rd looks like the best we can do there. Therefore there is no harm in looking at what we can do for the higher categories.

BTW I emailed TFL, they are going to make a change that will move us back to the correct category. They also said that the unregistered persons miles would be showing against our total, well if this is true they have registered 0 miles.

I've been a bit lazy and not registered yet. Do you want me to and add my miles?
