1st Offical CR...............sort of.......

Membership paid, New kit and Forum status back.

First offical ride for a long time.

Left Coulsdon with the last group around 15 maybe more, set off at a nice steady pace then at the green we divided into Partridge turn or Rusper, I went with Phil and 5 others to Rusper, was a nice steady ride very sociable as ADDISCOMBE always are. Spoke to some great people theni stopped chatting once the climbs came, just managed to stay on before the Partridge turn was thinking of taking the left and the easier option but decided to stick it out as you have the great down hill towards lambs green, when i used my advantage of my weight/power ratio...............then a steady ride towards Charlwood WHICH was too steady for Phil who jumped on the front and got us to 20+ for the final few miles, just as we headed into the Sprint area i took advantage only to slow down when I saw a Paramedic, It turns out Sam (Johns son) had just meet the Tarmac at some speed, he looked a bit rough with cuts to his chin and clothing was ripped in several places, he Seemed a bit shaken but was talking a bit.

Phil asked if he had WON the Sprint???? The reply NO, what a shame all that effort, damage and No win, hope he is ok.

MAde it to cafe, then made solo ride ride home as I didnt fancy Boxhill.

A great ride and great company will be out on WEdnesday and Next saturday.

Shame about Sam tasting tarmac, by the way Nick the new Rides section gets the CR reports these days just adding them on to the weekly CR list post that Jon stickies ahead of the week's rides. Save your reports getting lost.
