On the scrounge

Postby Dominic » Sun Jul 17, 2011 6:46 pm

I am doing the Outlaw ironman distance triathlon next Sunday( so is Lucy AP). Would anybody have a rear seat bottle holder and a 'bento box' that goes on the top tube of the bike for gels etc, that they could lend me?

Having a last minute equipment panic. Up until now I did not think I would need them

Yep I have both you can borrow, the behind the seat mount holds two cages if you need them. I'll bring them to the Club 10 on Tuesday.

Andrew,
Thanks for the offer but Phil has beaten you to it and it is now sorted.

Thanks again.

Hi Andrew :D Would I be able to borrow the seat mounted cage please?
It would be great to use for my spares, bit and bobs and lip balm

Andrew, I've decided not to do the club 10. But please could you pass on the bottle cage to Beckie, and I will collect from her.
BIG THANK YOU :D

Paul: Thanks, but I'm going to use a Camelbak on the bike. The plan is to put spares in Andrews rear ( ) bottle cage, and have the bottle cage on the frame empty. That way I can pick up a bottle at the feed station if wanted, and have somewhere to stick it . . .

Will do, and think of it as a sort of on bike bustle.

Both Dominic and Lucy completed the Outlaw Ironman at the weekend which I think deserves a huge hand.

They swam 2.4 miles, cycled 112miles then ran a full 26.2 mile marathon.

As mad as Andrew, PVT and Graham who recently rode for 24 hours.
