North Hampshire RC 10 - 17 July

Rain all morning but it stopped around 1 o'clock so I threw the old bike in the boot (didn't want to get the new one wet) and went to see what it was like at Bently. By the time I got there the roads were just beginning to dry but the wind had got up to a stiff and blustery westerly. I cut things a bit fine and only just got ready with about 12 minutes to spare so no warm up. It was the usual hard out and fast back but I wasn't really focussed on the ride and ended up with a mediocre 24:15. Terry was also down to ride but wisely stayed at home as did about two thirds of the field.

Well done for riding-as it was torrential rain at the time to set off from home, couldn`t face the 60-mile round trip. Getting a wimp as I`m getting older.

Entered the Charlotteville 25, if I get a ride, hope to see you there.
