Sulky idiot indeed. He is, as they said, moaning about everything except himself. Unable to stay with Contadope & Cuddles on the climb, unable to descend. Unable to even keep up with Voeckler.

Sanchez & Evans are looking better bets by the day. Still, big mountains to come - which could favour strong climbers. If they know how to work their gears.

Well. Things are certainly heating up in the tour!

Personally, I think Cadel has got it but Contador has shown yesterday that he’s gonna fight until the end.

So there's Andy Schleck again crying like a little baby!! “Boo hoo, they attacked on a descent, if that’s what viewers want to see…. Dangerous descent…. Blah blah… boo hoo… whinge whinge”

Does he not realise that he’s riding in a race??! What a big girl. Does he expect everyone just to battle on the uphill and then neutralise the rest of the stage?

Evans, Contador and Sanchez had the balls to take the race by the scruff of the neck and go for it on a wet, dodgy descent, risking injury and a career ending accident. Hats off to them. Shows the difference between a champion and a wannabee.

P.s I’m still devastated about Vino retiring and shall be sporting my Astana kit as often as I can as a tribute to the great man. I shall also be attacking ridiculously wherever possible before being caught and fading heroically.

P.p.s I’m looking at whoever of you have a child next to name it Vino, as a mark of respect.

he's already whining about today's finish.

Can't remember exactly what Boardman said at the end of yesterday's show but it made me laugh, he basically dismissed Schleck as a whining loser.

To be fair, it can't be easy descending when you're constantly looking backwards to see where your brother is.

Of course, now I've dropped him from my fantasy team, he'll take big time on the next 3 stages.

He's still a moaning sod who can't change gear, descend or handle his bike :D .

I don't like him and a great ride by Evans powering up the climb and taking 2 minutes out of moaning minnie by the top. Big day tomorrow but if Evans stays a similar distance behind he should take just over a minute out of Schleck in the more-or-less 25 TT on Saturday as he's pretty good against the clock and both Schlecks have always been dreadful. Be rather iffy if he suddenly can put in a good TT, be like me suddenly being up there close to George in a 25.

Well done Tommy. Stubborn chap ain't he.

First time I've watched ITV4 coverage as I prefer Eurosport, blimey how long are the breaks! 9 minutes of ads in the first 28 minutes and then 6 minutes later another 4-5 minute ad break.

Cadel towing Voeckler et al up the climb was a spectacle. He didn't really have a choice though.

Interesting that they docked Cav points for finishing outside the time limit. Well, not interesting - they either need to have an enforceable time limit or not rather than making up rules on the fly. Why not just call it 45 minutes after the winner and be done with it?

Anyway, it's nice for it still to be so close even at this stage.

Have to agree about a good ride by Evans against Schleck. Shame about Bertie  Found myself frustrated by the tactics though of the others, surely somebody could have helped earlier?!? Let's see what happens on Alpe d'Huez.

Andy Schleck is still a twat. Would love to see him race without his brother to hold his hand. The only reason he got away today is that Ratboy senior is so high up in the standings.
I hope next year's race has a downhill TT.......

Team Cadel for me although I'd love Tommy to hang on.

Well done to the Tour organisers this year. I've not been a fan for a number of years as they made it a formulaic affair which made it fairly boring. I hadn't looked at the course for this year so each stage has been a nice surprise, hope they've learnt their lessons from this year and keep with the better routing. Yesterday's mountain top finish was a prime case in point where they have taken a lesson out of the Giro's book and put the commentators etc at the base of the final climb so they could finish where they wanted to have a finish, not where there was a big ski resort which seems to have been the main concern over the last decade or so.

Well, that was clearly a fix. Not only was it a time trial but parts of it were downhill - with bends.

Still, I didn't expect Cadel to get that much time. As Tom points out, that makes Andy second three years in a row.

Glad to see the best allrounder Cadel win. A thoroughly deserved win.
