Alright then, looks like if we are going back to the 2-10 category, we should put our efforts into racking up some huge miles this weekend! I might even skip taking the train to and from CSS and cycle from home! I hate riding through Croydon though  It's all worth it to beat Rapha CC though: they have five cycle cafes, sell their own brand of clothes, are based in North London and their favourite colour is pink - i.e. not Maglia Rosa, PINK! So its a matter of justice and honour that we beat them

On the other hand, McTaffy, if you end up making an executive decision which involves handing me a bunch of registration forms on Saturday morning, then I'll do my duties. I presume you're going to pull out the calculator again on Friday night

Cheers

I have the forms, I think we should get as many filled in as possible, if we have too many we take the best ones and work out where it puts us if we were to fill it all in, and then make the decision from that. At the end of the day there is no harm in trying.

10 riders = 11700 points and 3rd

And we got another 6 riders with 4696 points, therefore

16 riders 16,396 which is 25th and 18,952 points behind 1st, 12,758 behind 3rd. So at that rate of points per person we need another 20 ish, and still plenty more could be signed up before we hit 50.

Although the last date is 15th we can log miles up to the 18th, so still time to sign some up on Saturday.

Guess I need a little poster to tell people what they need to do if we are not around.

Game on mate!

Unfortunately I have to work this Saturday, so I won't be able to help out with getting more members. If you definitely decide to sign up more people, I hope you get the 20 you're looking for! However, we might be able to finish third in 2-10 category regardless, so if you end up steering the team back to that option then that's cool too.

Cheers

Yeah based on you not being there and the likely weather conditions, 20 people does seem like a very big ask. Will put forms in Nonna's, just need to remember to do a poster so peeps know what they are for.

Last day of miles today, please log them all as soon as possible.

Yup, not many around on Saturday to sign up, excluding the Leisure Riders I got to see 5 others. So as you guessed we have chosen to stay in the 2-10 category, and as Wayne mentioned we are currently lying 3rd. Today is the last day teams can book miles for the competition so fingers crossed that nothing odd happens from the teams below us. Fortunately right down to 7th place already has a full quota of members, so unless they have 180+ miles still to book we should be safe.

Well done to everyone that took part, maybe next year we can get a few more to participate?

Perhaps we could use the money to buy a coffee machine - definitely cycling related.

It won't be money, gonna be £20 of bits. Things we don't really need, so the idea was to use as gifts for the fun run and leisure rides, but we wait and see what it is first.

O well , worth a try.

Monty got a load of funding for the lesiure rides - so can't see them needed anything. we'll wait and see.

Or watch the Space called Coffee, although it not had any replies yet :(

Anyway, I still not received the parcel but have spoken to tfl and it will be sent soon. I also asked what sort of things it is likely to contain and was told it will be along the lines of:

Slap Wraps
Water Bottles
Bike Multitool
Bike Lock

Total value approx £20.

Obviously when I know the exact contents I will let you know.
