Bryton Rider 50 - Advice please!!??

Postby John G » Wed Aug 10, 2011 1:49 pm

Hi All,

Just a quick post re the Bryton Rider 50.

I purchased said device about 8 months ago and have used it 3 times! To be honest, I have been disappointed with it's functionality and features! ...

Does anyone else on this forum have the Bryton Rider 50 and can provide advice/demonstrate how to get maximum benefit out of this GPS?!!

If so, please either reply to this thread or PM me with details of when we can meet for the demo! :D

I should be at the club run this Saturday, probably leaving with the training group if that helps?! also at the road race at Newchapel Village Hall, Bones Lane, Newchapel, Lingfield, RH7 6HR this Thursday!

But please let me know in advance so I can attach it to my bike! :)

Thanks,

John

Yes! (Perhaps)

I always tend to buy Garmin as i'm a sheep and scared to not follow others.

That being said, i'm really happy with the ones i've got (Edge 305 and Etrex HCX) and Garmin Connect is good for ride tracking.

I use a number of sites to route plan though, namely mapmyride and bikehike.

Cool, thanks for rubbing in the fact I have made the wrong purchase! (joking!) ... well not about making the wrong purchase! .... If I had my time again I would get the Garmin! :D
