Front light needed

Postby John G » Wed Aug 24, 2011 7:11 am

Hi All,

I am looking for a front light for my road bike.

I currently have a Cateye EL 130/135 that I bought at Evans, but I want something stronger! .... especially if I am going to join the chain gang during the winter! :D

I was also thinking of doing some crazy MTB riding at night this winter (in which case I may need one of the super duper lights that cost hundreds!). This is more for my commute into London and chain gang training rides at night during the week.

Open to any recommendations on good front lights or 2nd hand ones for give away/sale :!:

Thanks

John

No need to spend hundreds on lights! Check out DealExtreme (do a search on the forum - several threads mentioning them), now with 2 day delivery from their UK warehouse! Note that the light can be mounted on either handlebar or helmet.

I have a pair of rechargeables with battery pack you can have if you like. I wouldn't use them off road but they're fine for road riding. I used to use one light for lit roads and only switch the second on for unlit. They aren't as bright as you can get but do a job. Reasonably light and don't take up too much bar space and free is pretty cheap.
