cornish series crits E123's

Managed to wangle taking mine and my sons bikes down to cornwall on our weeks hols with the view for us to race on my sons 9th birthday
It was held in a place called ST Eval on a 1.2k go cart track which made it nice and smooth tarmac and technical with plenty to think about
My son raced 1st with a mixture of U10's and U12's. He loved racing his new bike and came in a respectable mid pack but mainly he really enjoyed it and me the proud dad watching :D
I thought i would be racing with the 3/4's but it turned out we were put in with the E12's. The pace was vicious from the off with a pendragon colnago and another guy getting a break on the second lap. 5 of us worked like mad to get them back for the whole race but the pendragon guy stayed away to take the win. It was surprisingly a tiny field with only 6 E12's and 5 3rd cats. Only two of us 3rd cats managed to stay with the bunch with the others getting dropped and lapped. I finished in 5th place on the final sprint for 2nd place and 2nd 3rd cat,(results are not up yet they are so laid back down there i guess it will take some time too)
Race only lasted 30 mins instead of the 45 planned but due to the pace my legs felt it the next day
Really enjoyed it though most enjoyable race to date for me :D
