shopping for a cx bike

treating myself to a new cx bike on the cycle to work scheme. Need something versatile to race a bit of cx and for winter miles/commute etc
How this,any better value for money out there?

The Focus CX bikes from Wiggle are probably worth a look too.

Thanks Jon,looked on website but not much going on seemed to have sold out/waiting for new stock.

I bought myself a Focus Mares AX 1.0 Ultegra 2011 from wiggle a couple of weeks ago with a 25% discounted price. [img]http://s.wiggle.co.uk/images/focus-mares-ax1-11-zoom.jpg[/img]

Guess the 2012 version will be coming very soon. but for under £1000 this was an excellent spec.

I saw one of these in the bike shop in Redhill near the bus station (don't know the shop's name)

They had it on sale at £899 and I believe it was a 58 frame

Thanks but the px is a better spec i think and a 58 frame is slightly too big for me :D

PX Uncle John and Focus seem to offer the best value for money and are very popular, probably for that reason.

If they were fairly equally matched then I'd probably go for the PX as the service you tend to get from them is superb. Would also be easy touse their Bargains section to tweek a standard build option for peanuts.
