IoW ACC w/e October - CANCELLED - RIP

As the original dates clashed with the ACC RR (if it happens.... Toks ) I checked with those who had put their names down as a definite - or near definite and we have agreed to try for the weekend after the RR, 22-23 October.

It's good fun, the Island is a lovely place to cycle, be really good if we can get sunny weather for this and be even better if we can get a good crowd out for this!

Please sign up or talk to me, Andrew Green or Jon Hemming so that we can get an idea of numbers. If we can get a few definites for this others can join in later - it would just be nice to get a few more along Also if you need any more information or ideas on where to stay or how to get there, just ask.

Peter M - sorry for the delay! I've replied now.

Got back from hols yesterday - 7 days riding with full panniers in the West Highlands and Isle of Skye. Beautiful if hilly, windy and occasionally wet (only one day with full on howling gale and horizontal rain - a few butt-clenching moments with and without traffic on the A87 though some of the lorry drivers would give a thumbs up )

So the IoW should be a breeze...

junior has had to drop out. Is anyone else definitely coming?

So far there's Jon H and myself - and I'm hoping someone will be able to take my bike down on the Friday* as I can't take the day off work and it'd be easier if I could jump on a train straight from London.

*happy to pay towards petrol etc.

Due to lack of interest, Jon and I have decided to lay it to rest for this year ... unless there's a sudden surge of interest...

Would going at a different time of year be any better? Or go down Saturday, come back Monday? The whole idea is that it's an end of season bit of relaxation and fun.
