Anyone got an old road bike they're not using?

I know this is a bit cheeky, but Marco's recent offer got me thinking. I've got a pal from Zimbabwe who's had a bit of a hard time since he got here (he was a high-ranking police officer back home but had to leave in a big hurry after he uncovered some, ahem, irregularites in the Mugabe administration) but is a lovely bloke, fit as a flea and loves cycling.

So if anyone had anything reliable he could ride that they want shot of, either for free or for a few quid, I'd be really grateful, and I know my pal would be, too. Cheers.

Not 'arf. Not that that cut much ice with D Blunkett or J Straw - according to them, there was no such thing as torture or repression of opponents to the regime in Zimbabwe. So they banged my friend up in Belmarsh and forgot about him for a year or so.
