[quote="Sean Hogan"]Do the jerseys' have a Founded 1929 on them? Would be good detailing for the collar for example.
"Estd. 1929" is on the back of the apres-race/casual polo shirts.
Jon looked in to getting some a while ago but the problem was that they looked somewhat cost prohibitive. To get ones with the badge on the breast etc are expensive and you need to make minimum orders, someone has to collate and distribute, etc, etc. Lots of problems involved.
I discovered through the Old Ports that they have a shop set up with spreadshirt who do simpler designs, you design according to set templates. I did a simple one to keep the cost reasonable, adding badges, extra colours, design detail etc all keeps bumping up the price.
I went for a simple design and ordered one to see what they were like and took it to a committee meeting for approval, which was given. Unfortunately I then got caught up in lots of things which meant I forgot about it for rather a long time, eventually I created a shop with the shirt in though. It is currently under my login and once Marco has finished all the work is doing then he will sort out a new addiscombe email address so I can switch the login so it can be handled by anyone in the club given the details - for adding different products say. He will also create a link from the website and try and tweak the colour scheme to a more ACC yellow and black.
The service I got was excellent and the shirt was sent quickly, the quality is superb, very soft Turkish cotton. They are a slim fit and as a guide I am a 38" chest and have a medium. It has been worn and washed (inside out as transfer printed, on a delicates wash and not tumble dried) all season as I have used it as post race wear. and it has retained it's colour as new and the printing is still perfect. I've been very impressed.
If you want one now then you can get them at the link below, or wait until Marco has had a chance to set up the link/web etc. The price is cost, no money made on top to either me or the club which can be added in the setup but obviously I didn't do that. The way spreadshirt works is that the cost is per garment and takes in to account setting up the printing, so if you order more than one then the cost comes down due to the economics of setting up the printing for multiples being the same as for one, so if you club together to put an order through then the price per polo shirt drops.
