Nice message - from someone helped by ACC

Postby Jon C C on a Bianchi » Sun Dec 04, 2011 9:23 pm

I would like to praise Mark for being so kind to me when both my tyres got punctured and needed help. I wasn't part of the Croydon Addiscombe ride on saturday morning (I was making my way to Crawley from Hounslow) and happened to stumble upon road cyclists, I tried catching up to them and asking for directions (I always get a little lost on long rides) and in doing so I went over a few pot holes and speed bumps resulting in what Mark said might just be a 'pinch' puncture, I agree after looking at the inner tubes.

Anyway, I would like to just thank him for caring for a total stranger who needed help.

Thanks Mark, you're awesome!

Regards,
Amrit (Red Specialized Allez 16)

Please pass it on, and give him freebies, :-D

[Editors NB - not sure about the freebies!? :D ]

Chapeau to the Saab driver who stopped and asked if he could help, then then drove home to get some tubes and a pump :D

Amrit hopefully you will pass on the good deeds and remember on long journeys to carry a couple of tubes, a small pump or a co2 inflator, good lights and some food (jamm sarnies are good).

Thanks John, well spotted  I often wondered why I had such difficulty getting the tyres off and they were always covered in jam
