Graham, I can create a Google map of our route this evening for you and anyone else interested. I'll post a link back on to this topic.

For the time being, here is the location of Chalkpit Lane... http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.271582, ... 5,0.026565.

Slines Oak Road ... http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.287849, ... 3,0.026779 . Amuzingly the road at the top is called Lunghurst Road or should it be Lunghurts Road.

Beddlestead Lane and Hessiers Hill ... http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.30564,0 ... 7,0.026779 . We went down Beddlestead Lane and up Hessiers Hill (short sharp steep hill). In reverse Beddlestead is a very long and satifying drag up.

One we didn't do, but is a favourite of mine from my mountain biking days is Bug Hill. For off-roaders, try Butterfly Walk which is an even steeper bridle path running around the back of it ... http://maps.google.co.uk/?ll=51.299134, ... 2,0.006695

Take a look at the satellite views as well.

Phil

Bug Hill was the next scheduled climb after Beddlestead but daylight was deserting us by then - next week we should have time to add it on

Huw,

At the moment, I can only do Thursdays; starting at 7 ish. I should be able to get out on Tuesdays or Wednesdays in May, but I still won't be able to get to Croydon until 7.00.

Ta,

Graham.

Phil,

Didn't see you post when I did my reply. Google map would be really cool.

And here it is ... http://www.the-lamberts.co.uk/cycling/a ... hills.html

I'll keep it up to date as Huw introduces us to more hills.
