SL - Bletchingley - 2/3 - 31st March '12

Firstly, to all those in ACC who organised & helped out - thank-you.

There's something about me & that course. I think that I've had 4 DNFs in road racing - 3 of those on the Bletchingley course. This year's DNF? The right hand STI lever failed. Can't say I fancied trying to complete that course in 2 gears; 53x11 or 39x11.

Next year, Joyce has informed me that I'm running the canteen instead.

Oh, the results? Race won by Harold Evans of VO2 Development, Peachey was the highest placed ACC rider in 9th.

Unlucky Keith, a real shame you couldn't show your form.

A hard race today, suffered from cramp through my thighs for the whole last lap, so very pleased with a top 10 finish.

Big respect to George for two massive attacks on the last lap which was the only reason the group caught the break - impressive.

Thanks to everyone who helped and for the encouragement - it really helps.

Well done Darren, I thought it was 8th but maybe I missed a rider, great ride. I was surprised not to see George at the front at the finish as he'd looked strong and well placed at the bell lap, but chatting afterwards he told me about his attacks and then just rolled in when they didn't get him clear.

I swear you'll win that race when you make it to the finish Keith, so much bad luck it's got to be repaid some time.

I started out as 2nd driver but after 3 laps wasn't needed as no breaks were sticking so kept the finish judges company. A chilly headwind on the return leg must have made that leg tough as if you weren't slogging uphill you'd have been riding in to that, guess that's why the breaks didn't stick today like they normally do around there.

Well done to all that took part, Bletchingley has always been my nemesis,one b***c of a race.So well done for even turning up to the start line.Sorry to hear about your DNF Keith youll get to finish this one day.Darren well all those hours in the saddle are paying off.Got to say if id been racing i know were id want to be and thats behind George when he attacked.

Well done to the 3 ACC riders, that looked tough and very fast... at one point I nearly spilled a drop of my London Pride as you all came past!

First time I've seen Bletchingley and I have to say it looks a real bastard of a course. Great effort from all the guys racing yesterday. You looked strong until your bike gave up on you Keith. I missed the sprint - fantastic to hear Darren placed! Great race to watch.
