At least he got a mention buried in the article. Despite the best efforts of Cavendish, Wiggins (first British winner of Tour of Lombardy) to put our sport on the map, the BBC's autocutie reported the news this morning as "Dwayne Chambers and a cyclist...." :roll:

Sat here in Lombardia right now, and I can confirm there is not a British rider currently capable of matching Simpson... have you seen it round here!? Jesus wept!

Was there for a short stay years ago, my one lasting memory is the great ice cream we had at Lake Como, that was so long ago the only ice cream you could get in Ireland then was in the kind like Walls ice cream, no ben and jerrys / hagen daz etc. Italian ice cream was a relevation.
