Really enjoyed my first TT10 - next one i will get there very early so as not to go off last and cause confusion for the timekeepers! Great fun Cheers all

Thanks to all who helped. Tom enjoyed his first go and I enjoyed seeing that he got over the line without being squished. He's a bit gutted there's not a Juvenile category (although I can think of a few older people who might count).

Hopefully there will be a bit more light next time.

Thanks everyone who helped , particularly the chap who held me up at the start ! I told him that I would fall over when he let me go because my pedals were in the wrong place ! Then he explained all I had to do was pedal backwards a bit ! Didn't think of that ! I really must have looked crazy ! Still , really pleased with my time . Cheers everyone .

Don't worry Richard, everyone gets nervous when they first start racing and you forget the obvious. We've all done it.
Huw almost shipped his chain when he went to spin his pedals in to the right place so I gave him a big shove so that it could catch it back on with his first pedal stroke...and it's far from his first TT :) .

Well done Jon and Phil for getting everyone off and sorting out the times. 30 second intervals make it much harder and the order was shuffled about a bit as we started early, asap, to try and get everyone finished before it got dark. Nick of time I think as it was just finished in time.

Yes it does, and next time your handicap will be based on that time.

There are juvenile club records to aim for though.
21.40 is the target

Keith heads the vets table! Nice one, Keith! Great ride! The new VTTA standards have certainly made a difference. Compared with the 1943 standards they tend to advantage women and younger riders. So I'm knackered!
