Team Axiom 10 - 9/6/12

At least it wasn't raining!

Just me from the ACC on the A3 on a very windy Saturday afternoon. It looked like it was going to be easy out and hard back. It turned out to be easy out and not too bad coming back so I ended up with a season's best 23:18 :) and this despite recovering from 3 weeks of illness and not racing for 4 weeks :| . The weather is now serously messing with my long distance training - I was forced onto the turbo trainer today (hate it).

Good ride Steve, had hoped to catch up at Bentley but one of the rare ones there you're missing.

Are you still on for the 24? How's the training been going, the weather must have messed you about something rotten. The turbo isn't the place for a steady 8 hours.

I only managed an hour on the turbo - more than enough. I did, however, get one longish (137 miles) and brutal ride in during the week. Much of my training has been a matter of squeezing 50 or 60 mile rides in between the rain which is not ideal. I have now entered the 24 so I'm hoping I can get a few long rides in over the next 4 weeks.

Good luck with it Steve. I'll make sure the punch bowl is nice and shiny for you.
