[quote="Jon H"]Handicaps are based on the person's PB, or a nominal figure if they're a new rider.

If someone's got a PB of say 24 min 30 sec, then they get a 4:30 handicap. That gets taken off their actual ride time to give a handicap time. So, if they finish in 25 min then their handicap time is 21:30. Simples.

In that case my handicap time should be 18:45

Handicap = PB 26:09 - 20:00 = 6:09

Handicap 19/06/2012 24:54 - 6:09 = 18:45

Handicaps are rounded up to the nearest 10 so 6:09 = 6:00

so 24.54 - 6.00 = 18.54 which is the time you were given :D

cheers

[quote="Bridget"]Thanks to all who organised last night, was a fun eve and great weather :D

Jon - my PB for this course - admittedly 4 years ago :oops: - was 31.54. Do I get my handicap adjusted, or is that judged too long ago to be considered?? I did let Tim know last night

Hi Bridget

What's your PB for a ten? We don't normally use your PB for this or that particular course (although perhaps we should). Your PB for a ten is your PB for a ten. :shock:
