Any idea if there's motorcycle parking nearby? If not, put me down for 2 bicycles.

Hi Andy, I will try to find this out for you. I am told that the car park opposite will be a bike park for the day and so might take motor bikes. I will PM you.

Sounds like motorbike isn't feasible, so +2 bicycles for me pls.

So is the general thought that as long as we're in place by 9:00, we shouldn't have any issues with getting there by bike on road?

(Although due to my guests not wanting to ride all the way, I'm now considering getting the train to Tattenham Corner (i.e. not the Box Hill line) and walking the 2 miles or so).

I don't think there is one.

Folks - I am a little concerned that marshals will turn people away as soon as the organisers deem it in the interests of safety. http://www.mole-valley.gov.uk/index.cfm?articleid=13499

Information on this event has been sporadic and has altered as organisers slowly realise how popular cycling is in the UK and Europe. Some of our neighbouring plots at Headley are concerned and have advise guests to be on site at 7am for the mens race. Since guidance is now based on access being denied when deemed appropriate we do not have a cut-off time to work to and for the sake getting up a few hours earlier I would have to advise that we all aim for 7:00.

The organisers are marshalling all exits including bridle paths and they may, of course, keep these access points open much later. Be early and don't chance it. You will notice that Car Parks open at 6am and are on a pre-booking basis.

Same place for Sunday's women's race for ticket holding members and their paid up guests. Your tickets cover both days.

I will post more info when I get it.

Thanks for update Rogan and good news about womens race too.
Not sure my guests will be able to stomach being in place 3 hours before race start, but point taken about unpredictability of organisers' closures. I will definitely walk in to mitigate this.

Excellent work all round Rogan. Chapeau.

Now that the security might be army instead of G4S muppets, maybe we should be early. OTOH, on what basis can they close a bridleway?

Good point Marek. Our bikes will be in our plot - but probably a good idea to lock them up to be safe.
