Wednesday 19th hills feedback

Another select bunch of grimpeurs out last night as the weatherman got it completely wrong and we had nice evening sunshine.

Tim 'one speed and that's fast' Harris set the mood with a blistering attack up hill one, but paid the price later on and I was even able to keep on his wheel up Chalkpits and White Hill (although I was dangerously close to my max).

Some fella who met us at the start by Butler's tagged along and kicked our arses on some of the climbs - Phil/Monty he's coming out Saturday so sign him up, he's a top rider!

Steve Cave and Simon Hazeldene joined us half way - Cave putting in his customary big gear efforts on the flat to drag us along at nearly 30mph before getting dropped on all the hills.

After Hessiers I had no legs but we did Bug Hill to finish things off (almost literally) before Tim and the new fella towed us back to Croydon through Sanderstead at an even higher speed than last week. Bonkers!

Another classic and we now seem to have a regular wednesday night ACC ride. Don't be put off by the high-speed/hard climbing stories - we wait at the top of every nasty hill so slower riders can ride at their own pace and still ride with the group between hills - so try and make it next week if you're yet to experience it.

6.15 start next wednesday and hopefully one more hill added on the end

Yeah really enjoyed last nights ride...and having done lasts weeks Wednesday ride and the TOSH it really did feel easier?

Managed to pretty much stay with the guys on the hills?but the pace set by Tim on the way back was scary?all I can say is thank god for roundabouts and traffic lights!!!

Looking forward to next week already!

Excellent night cycling last night.

Was struggling at the start but felt ok towards the end.

Was out tuesday doing half the route and last night did most of it.

Out again tonight so will see how far I can make it round.....

I felt a bit tired after ToSH followed by Brighton and back and couldn't get motivated so when Simon punctured I took the opportunity to bail out and do nice warm down along the Limpsfield road. Thanks for another good ride though.
