Eastbourne Rovers Weekend

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Eastbourne Rovers Weekend

I will probably enter this, I did last year but only did the 10, it chucked it down for both races, big like this year  . I'll take the fixed with 'guards this year if it does the same to get the races in.

The weekend consists of two events, promoted for and on behalf of Cycling Time Trials under their rules and regulations. The Stan Nash Open 10 on Saturday 11th August 2012 on the G10/87 with East Hoathly Sports Pavilion as the HQ, and the Cliff Sharp Open 25 on Sunday 12th August 2012 on the G25/89 where the superb facilities at Maresfield Fire Training Centre will provide an excellent HQ to round off the weekend in style.

As our reputation dictates, you can expect two well organised events with innovative cash prizes and the legendary ‘FeatherCox’ homemade cakes. All wrapped up in a great atmosphere amongst friends and familiar faces from far and wide – what more could you want?

Not a fan of the new vets’ standards? – We have prizes for the fastest rider in each age category not winning another individual prize – for each event

Too old for a junior prize but too young for a vet’s prize? – You won’t be overlooked by us – the age category awards start at 15 and go all the way to 75 plus – for each event

Are you making improvements that go unnoticed? – We have prizes for current and past three season improvements – for each event

As well as the usual prizes at each event for scratch and ladies etc, we also have prizes to reward those who race in both the Saturday 10 and the Sunday 25.

The Combined Weekend Prizes include:

Are you up to scratch two days running? – Enter both days and your aggregate time might get you on the combined weekend prize list too

Frustrated at never being part of a team? – Enter both days and you will automatically be included in the random team draw where any rider can be matched with any other two riders from any other two clubs. The aggregate time of the three team members on Saturday will be added to the aggregate time of the three team members on Sunday – Prizes for the first and second team at least

Do you fit the average? – Enter both days and if your combined weekend time is closest to the average time of Saturdays 10 when added to the average time of Sundays 25 – you’ll be a winner with us
