ACC Track Championships HH 15:00 Saturday Sept 8

I have booked Herne Hill Velodrome from 15:00 on Saturday Sept 8 for the ACC track Championships.

All riders and spectators welcome.

I hope you will all be inspired by GB Olympic Track Cycling Team this August and get your fixed wheel bikes out.

Hope to be there Mark. A 25 the following morning so may sit out an event from the programme depending on its make up.
Thanks for organising this again.

By the way Freddie you can rent a bike at the track cheaply, but you will have to have completed an introduction session which are run on Saturday mornings at Herne Hill. This is standard as you aren't allowed to race on the track until you've done an introduction session. They are simple but also useful to get to know a track bike and track manners.

I have discussed events with De Laune which will be:

• 10 lap warm up race
• 500m Scratch heats
• Pursuit
• 500m Scratch Final for the SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY presented by Ernie Mills for the winner of the Club’s Sprint Championship
• Devil
• 5000m Scratch. For the FIVE MILES’ CHAMPIONSHIP TROPHY presented by Percy Huggett and awarded to the winner of the Club’s Five Miles Track event.

If we have enough Youth/U14 we could run additional events

LADIES’ SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP presented by Ernie Mills and awarded to the winner of the Club’s Ladies Sprint Championship.
